About
Hi, I’m Zara!
I’m a proud Colorado native, dog mom, and experienced digital strategist specializing in copywriting, fundraising, and organizing for progressive candidates and causes.
I began my career in digital strategy in the political and advocacy space in 2019 on John Hickenlooper's iconic presidential campaign. Since then, I have led digital efforts for advocacy groups and candidates up and down the ballot. Most notably, I spearheaded digital strategy for Demand Justice — a 501(c)(4) advocating for judicial reform — during the pivotal moments of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's passing and Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation. I also led digital fundraising for Forward Majority, a nonprofit focused on protecting democracy at the state level, and a variety of campaigns in Illinois, including Kam Buckner for Chicago Mayor.
In recent years, I jumped on board several Colorado campaigns, including Jenny Willford for HD34, Darrell Watson for Denver City Council, Leslie Herod for Denver Mayor, and John Walsh for Denver District Attorney, executing digital fundraising, organizing, and marketing efforts.
In 2024, I joined forces with Topher Williams of Flatirons Strategies to lead digital strategy for a variety of candidates and causes, including UsAgainstAlzheimer’s — a mid-sized non-profit advocating for Alzheimer’s research, early detection, and prevention; and the Colorado Health Foundation — a state-wide philanthropic health equity organization.
In 2017, I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism and Media Communications, and Business Management. In my rare free time, I can be found writing, painting, reading, being outside with my dog, Rosebud, and waiting patiently for Reputation (Taylor’s Version).
